DESCRIPTION:Celebrate culture\, rhythm\, and joy this AANHPI Heritage Month with Ajna Dance at a high-energy Bhangra dance workshop for all ages. \nBhangra\, a folk dance from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan\, was traditionally performed in the fields to celebrate a bountiful harvest. It features strong shoulder movements\, big hops\, joyful leaps\, and expressive arm choreography\, all set to the vibrant\, infectious beats of the dhol drum. \nThis free\, in-person workshop is open to everyone\, kids\, teens\, adults\, and seniors. No registration required. Just show up and get ready to dance. Balle balle! \nIn partnership with Great Neck Library.
