Bhangra Dance Workshop at Great Neck Library – Parkville Branch

May 27 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Celebrate culture, rhythm, and joy this AANHPI Heritage Month with Ajna Dance at a high-energy Bhangra dance workshop for all ages.

Bhangra, a folk dance from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan, was traditionally performed in the fields to celebrate a bountiful harvest. It features strong shoulder movements, big hops, joyful leaps, and expressive arm choreography, all set to the vibrant, infectious beats of the dhol drum.

This free, in-person workshop is open to everyone, kids, teens, adults, and seniors. No registration required. Just show up and get ready to dance. Balle balle!

In partnership with Great Neck Library.
