Ajna offers engaging, interactive programs for schools, libraries, workplaces, and community spaces, including:
✨ Dynamic dance performances
✨ Educational assemblies and residencies
✨ Hands-on workshops and family engagement programs

Each program includes:
- A welcoming introduction to the cultural and historical significance of the festival
- A vibrant performance by Ajna’s professional ensemble
- An interactive Bollywood & Bhangra dance workshop suitable for all ages and abilities

✨ For Holi events, we highly recommend adding a color play experience. We’re happy to help plan and coordinate this element so your community can fully embrace the joy and spirit of the celebration.

One Week Away! Move the Music: Bhangra at the Muse One Week Away! Move the Music: Bhangra at the Museum of the City of New York!

Get ready to move, groove, and create together in this high-energy, hands-on family workshop.

Participants will dive into the rhythmic world of Bhangra, a traditional Punjabi folk dance that has become a global phenomenon. Through storytelling, movement, and music, families will learn foundational steps and explore the cultural roots of the form. The experience will be accompanied by a live dholi, with the workshop led by Minila, founder and artistic director of Ajna Dance Company.

Recommended for children ages 6+ with an adult. This is a family program; children must attend with an adult.

Last month, Ajna's talented Bollywood & Kathak dance students had the honor of opening the Diwali celebration hosted by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, led by DA Eric Gonzalez.

Special congratulations to Ajna Founder and Executive Director, Minila Shah, who received the "Justice Award" for her inspiring work and contribution to our community. 

And a special shoutout to our students, their supportive families and our incredible teachers, Mei and Aman, whose hard work and passion truly shined.
